 Keep these cd Rom comics alive!Nov 03, 2009

I love everything about this, First I am a huge fan of what is called funny animal comic's and this falls right into that category, second these cd-rom's are amazing, I can read these comics, study the framing and line work with out having hundreds of hard to store volumes cluttering up my home. I am an artist and these wonderful cd's give me the opportunity to study historical works of art up close and personal, they are a true marvel of the digital age and I hope the Git Corporation continues to produce these for a long time to come. On the practical side this would be an amazing gift for a child, sharpen their computer skills while giving them tons of reading material and with the added benefit of these only being cd's to store what more could you ask for? To sum up I love these and I hope that they will have a long and varied future catalog that will continue to inspire artists and entertain children.

This CD is full of original comic books. They've been scanned in, ads and all. My son enjoys the Scooby Doo cartoons, so I put this in his stocking. He loved it.
If you watch the Scooby Doo cartoons, you will notice that many of the comics are similar. My 10YO son enjoyed comparing them to the cartoons and had a lot of fun reading them. He also liked the ads. Some seem silly now. It's also a good lesson about inflation as everything cost a lot less in the 70s.
Our computer runs on Vista and we had no issues using this CD.
If you like a comic, you can also print it out.
The CD contains a lot of comics. It is well worth the money.

with the exception of the watermarked images this is a treasure. The comics are all PDFs and it was easy to import them into Apple's ibooks for reading on the ipad.

I have to say, I hadn't bought anything before from Amazon.com before I bought this, however I ordered the CD on a Saturday and it arrived on a Wednesday; Amazon is very prompt in their delivery, as far as this product went and I have enjoyed it greatly so far.
As a Scooby fan who started liking the characters and the show in the 90s, I was surprised to learn that there were Scooby comics and that they go as far back as the 70's; I was glad to learn that there was a way to purchase Scooby comics wihtout spending a fortune and I was more then happy to spend the amount of money the CD cost.
I still feel that some of these comics would make great TV episodes, and it would very cool if that indeed happened, as some of these comic stories are TV quality; I highly recommend this for anyone who likes or loves Scooby and is annoyed with some of the poor quality of Scooby's TV adventures in recent years(*coughcoughGetACluecoughcough*).
If you do buy this you will not be sorry and it will provide you with hours of great reading; take it from a Scooby fan, this is Scoobyriffic.
