 Still going strong even after being dropped...Jul 16, 2010
I will admit I am partial to these little matchbox-sized players. I will no longer admit how many I have purchased for my own use and for surprisingly nice little gifts.
I have had this one for nearly a year and it has been dropped, lost, found again and generally treated roughly and is still working like a champ. I wish Sansa would go back to this design as it seems more secure and stable than the newer model. I also wish they would come out with brighter colored ones, yellow or gold for example, since a black player this tiny is easy to lose and hard to find.
I keep one in the gym bag, one in the hall closet and a couple scattered around the house. It is tiny that any external speakers really need to be powered to get the sound loud enough. I use it more for books than for music but I still prefer the sound of powered speakers.

Only reason bought item was to use the Slot Radio add on with it. This cannot use the feature, so a complete waste of time and money. Bought what I wanted at Radio Shack at a better price than Amazon.

I bought the Sansa Clip for my 12 year old daughter. This is her first music player of any kind. She has found it easy to use and likes that it clips easily to her waistband. I actually bought a Sansa Clip for myself a year or so ago and am still pleased with it. For the price, it is a decent MP3 player although I have substituted other earbuds which stay in my ears better than the ones that came with the Sansa Clip. I exercise with it like how I can be hands free due to the clip.
