Great little gadget. Touch screen works best with thumb or finger nails. Camera audio/video works great, be carefull what you say wile filming.

I Bought this item for my 13 year old for christmas and 7 months later it broke. it plays the videos that are on there over and over i tried to send it back but it was too late so i hope noone else gets the same response as i did "it has to be 45 days after i bought it to return it and get a refund" i will never again buy something i cant take back after 45 days on amazon or any other web site again now she is sad she was really excited about it it has a camera and her music and also a amfm radio videos it is really cute and she was real careful with it she charged it one day and it was all over after that i am really upset and hope noone else has to go threw what i did.

Definitely not just a "ripoff" of the iTouchJul 20, 2010
Something about how people treat these players has always bothered me. Are they pretty blatantly trying to seem like the iTouch? Yes. But does that make them horrible? No. Stop judging them like they're supposed to be a cheaper version of the $300 Apple products.
That being said, my honest experience with this player. At first, I wasn't sure how to power the thing on; the power button didn't seem to work. After a bit of fiddling, I found that it just wasn't pre-charged, so no real issue there. I plugged it in and let it charge (with the included AC charger, very convenient), and it powered on as expected with some juice in it.
While it does have some automatic organization features for MP3's, the most important feature to me is the ability to organize in folders however I want. Apple products and some other competitors generally don't allow you to create your own folder structures -- you take the organization options that they give you, and you better like them. Not so with this. The same goes for videos and pictures, organize them as you see fit with folders. It also supports Unicode natively, so you can have non-English filenames, album names, etc., without having to rename them.
As for actual quality of the playback, it's wonderful. Music sounds just like it's playing from the computer, and the included earphones are fine for my tastes. Video playback is at approximately 20 frames per second, which is hardly noticeable, and the device has native support for many popular formats -- DivX, XviD, FLV (YouTube), MP4, etcetera. If you want to use other video software to convert for the device (such as the free SUPER converter), instead of their own converter (which doesn't support too many formats), use the following settings for optimal performance:
Format: Flash Video FLV (this type plays the best out of all of them I've tried)
Size: 320x240 (exact size of the screen)
Video bitrate: 2640kbps (you can change this if you want)
FPS: 20
Audio Track: MP3 (MAKE SURE THE AUDIO TRACK IS MP3), 44100 sampling frequency, 256kbps (you can lower this if you're not a quality snob)
The resulting video will play flawlessly.
Now, the rest of the features. The radio just works fine, and can be recorded from (bottom of the radio Settings menu). The camera captures at 1280x1024, and takes video at 320x240 (~10fps). Audio can be recorded in the WAV format. It only includes one game, some kind of tank battling game that I honestly couldn't figure out, but I don't care, it's not for games.
The touch screen is pretty responsive, both to the included stylus and to a finger. However, as mentioned, there's nowhere to put the stylus. I don't even use it, since my finger works fine and the device doesn't seem to suffer from fingerprinting. It includes a semi-transparent white casing, but again, I don't use it and it works fine without.
Negative aspects. There's no indication of how close the battery is to being done charging while it's doing so. Audio recordings are pretty low-quality and quiet. It uses the outdated MiniSD format (NOT MicroSD or regular SD), so be sure to get a Mini-to-Micro adapter (available on Amazon for $1.49) if you really want to expand it. I haven't checked to see if it supports SDHC, but it's unlikely.
In conclusion, is it really a rival for the iTouch? No, but you can't expect it to be. Is it a great multimedia player? Yes.
PS: It does have a shuffle function. Some reviews claim that it doesn't, but it does. Go under Settings-->Play Mode-->Shuffle while playing any mp3.
PPS: If you see lots of players identical to this one in all but brand, it's because it's actually a generic player developed by Chinese electronics giant Rockchip Electronics. They offer a branding/resale service. So any device looking exactly like this, despite the company that you're buying from, should be totally identical in all but the stamp on the back and the name on the rubber casing.

Overall, this unit had problems. I used it to record some music, it locked up and never worked right again. I tried to work with their technical support, but tried what they suggested, it never worked. Also, I asked for a replacement, but they stated I had passed the warranty (little over a month old) and they could not replace my unit. So, I have a unit that never did work correctly or as they claimed to be a reliable working unit. Thanks for the support that I really did not get.
