Description:

Captain America: The Complete Collection lets you experience the amazing adventures of Captain America, the Sentinel Of Liberty! During World War II, a skinny & sickly teenager named Steve Rogers was rejected by the Army. Desperate to fight the Nazis, he volunteered for a dangerous top-secret project: Operation Rebirth. The experiment turned small, weak Steve Rogers into America's first super-soldier. He fought the Axis for years, but was thought dead in an Arctic explosion. His enhanced body survived & was actually frozen in suspended animation; he was thawed out decades later & entered a country he no longer understood, but continued to defend against the menaces threatening liberty & democratic principles. This collection lets you revisit and relive Cap's great adventures. It covers every issue of Captain America from 1964 to 2006 -- over 500 comics in all!

Features:

Over 41 Years of Captain America comic books from Nov. 1964 thru Dec 2006.

Over 515 complete issues including all annuals.

Every single article including American Graffiti, Bullpen Bulletins, Pinups and all advertisements.

This DVD is NOT a Movie. Marvel Comic Books of Back Issues Collection. A Treasure to Fans and the Periodical Magazine Readers and Collectors.

5Here we go again...Mar 24, 2010
By Gregory Hatfield "Greg"
I thought that $600 was way too much to pay for this item, seeing as how you could get the same Silver Age reprints on the Iron Man DVD, and the rest in either Masterworks or Omnibus formats FOR WAY LESS MONEY, but $1,000? I am really on the floor laughing my derriere off! This item didn't sell for $600; why does this unwashed, greedy fool think it will sell for an even grand? Even the originals could be had in VG-F for less money. I already checked the Overstreet values and listed them in my last review, so I'm not going to do it again, but seriously, folks, how many of you got as good a laugh out of this as I did? And this greedy offer during an economic turn down? YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING.

5The CAP. is BACK!Sep 15, 2008
By James D. Nichol
I picked this set up a few months ago and was so exited to see all of the issues from every year dating back to the beginning. The Cap is back and in all his glory! If you are a fan, or even just interested in Captain America then this is a very worth while investment. Consider the fact that this is a limited item and going to be discontinued, or you can consider the fact that per issue the price is very reasonable, or you could consider the outrageous prices you might pay collectors for these past issues. Any way you look at it this collectors set is the way to go.

I agree with the previous reviewer when he laments the fact that Marvel is only going to have limited issues available on-line. Personally, I think that is short sighted and stupid. This Collectors Edition is a great way to pass along the interest, action and adventure of C.A. to the next generation; as well as giving us "mature" fans what we have been asking for.

The quality is excellent and the interface is good, there is nothing to interfere with just enjoying these classics.

5Best Thing EverFeb 01, 2008
By Jason A. Kaas "jkaas"
What can I say except if you want a complete collection of Marvel's best then pick these items up while you still can. Marvel in their modern money grubbing, dirtbag selves are discontinuing the company who makes these as Marvel has released their online subscription service which has fewer comic issues than what is on each of these dvd-roms. Well worth the money and you don't have to deal with getting online someplace to view like Marvel's new "idea". While you are at it tell Marvel to allow this company to continue making these fine additions to anyone's comic collection.
