A joy to play with, hear in background, and LEARN URDU words unmistakablyMar 26, 2010
By Top Secret The Talk Now! series is a delight for features that just can't miss for children or adults, in my opinion. Urdu is as "foreign" to my English as any language I've attempted, but this DVD kept clear pictures with words, and "easy" and "hard" games with seeping the different numbers, words, and so forth into my MS-damaged brain.
I wanted to learn Urdu, but doubted, after being hit with multiple sclerosis, that I would be able to soak up another language, as it wasn't the easiest thing for me in the past. EuroTalk's Talk Now! gave me a super amount of control -- repeating rounds of the body with highlighted parts, or doing the body games, for example, with the game focusing on where the student needed more work. A skeleton filling in and rising from the table to laugh doesn't hurt as a "reward," for earned points, even if you're old -- because you know you "got it!"
This was neither to hard nor too easy, as it works with the person on their level. Even had I NOT had MS, it was (and is still) just right for me, as I am now beginning more advanced materials on Urdu script (the written language) and conversation. I return to this DVD all the time, as there is still more in this delightful and friendly learning software. I cannot recommend it highly enough for all ages.

This is one of the worst language softwareMay 12, 2010
By Pooh This product should get an F-. This software is an insult to one of most respectable language, URDU. Urdu is widely spoken in Pakistan, India, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Iran etc. Urdu is spoken by people with different religious, ethnic groups. Urdu speakers are not only Muslims; they are Bahia, Jewish, Hindus, and Christian etc. World's 10 Most Influential Languages in Language Today, Urdu is the fourth most spoken language in the world, with 4.7 percent of the world's population, after Mandarin, English, and Spanish. Some out of many faults are listed below: 1. Chopped off screen 2. Buttons don't work 3. Poor animation 4. the most important one is the wrong translation; here are just a few examples: INCORRECT: GOOD MORNING: Good Morning translated as As Salamo Alaikum which means peace be on you, it is a Muslim greeting, it is not the translation of the word Good Morning CORRECT: GOOD MORNING CORRECT TRANSLATION IS SUBAH BAKHAIR Hello or Hi Correct translation is AAdAB This software needs to be examined by language experts and software developers for functionality. I have just returned this product.
Bad ProductSep 17, 2011
By Castle-Frank Bad product. Poor knowledge of the urdu language. I am european and wanted to learn this rich language. My Pakistani friend can teach me a whole lot better than this product. Besides he continually finds mistakes in this product. I went to Pakistan last year... and saw the country first hand and learnt Urdu first hand...and btw no one over there wears the dress that is depicted on that cover.
Shab bakhair. (good night).
