5Whole lot of CD's!Mar 13, 2006
By Ian Douglas "id at w98 dot us"
Wow, 60 CD's. Great quality though, decent packaging, and the added case to carry 64 CD's certainly adds to the quality of this product. The packaging on a data DVD in MP3 format would have been MUCH smaller though.

The CD's are labelled well, although somewhat confusing. For example, when it says on disc 7, "Leviticus 13:53-26:36", you can tell that it's starting part way through chapter 13 and ending part way through chapter 26, but it doesn't show you, visually at least, how many verses there are remaining in chapter 13 beyond verse 53.

Each track is one chapter, or portion of a chapter when it's been split across volumes.

5Holy Bible: King James Version, CompleteMay 13, 2007
By Theresa J. Williams "Theresa Williams"
I have not listened to all 60 CDs because I listen to each CD twice to ensure that I did not miss anything. I am driving and listening simultaneously. The CDs are awesome. I am glad the CD's are in a carrying case which makes it easy for me to keep up with them. I have learned lots listening to them. The CD's bring the Bible alive for me because somethings I knew but did not really understand until I heard it on the CD. The artist voice is very clear, distinctive, and easy to listen to. I am remembering what book in the Bible things occured better than when I read it in the Bible and tried to remember where I read it. I am learning things that are in the Bible that I did not realize was there. Listening to the CD's moves faster than reading the Bible. Also, I find listening more enjoyable because I don't stumble over words trying to pronounce a word. I enjoy hearing the various names in the Bible pronounced correctly. I am also learning to pronounce the names.

I recommend the CD's to anyone wanting to apply scripture to their life and have a closer relationship with Christ.

5Not perfect, but excellent!Jul 31, 2007
By B. Eversberg
I am totally enthralled with this CD set of the Holy Bible. I like the reader of the Old Testament better than the New Testament, but I like the idea that there are two different voices. I have found a couple of glitches, like where the end of a chapter gets cut off abruptly and then the next chapter begins. This however was not enough in my opinion to give less than the best grade.

It totally amazes me how much I understand just listening to the CDs. I thought I was going to listen while I read and this would keep me "on track," so to speak, but I find I enjoy just listening, and this way I rest my eyes, and also get great comprehension. I personally don't find I get much comprehension while driving, but others have commented to the opposite, and I can't disprove what they say, it's just this isn't an application that works for me.

If any producers of Bibles on CD are reading, I would like to give my "suggestions" for improvement. I would like no CD to start or end in the middle of a chapter. My utmost preference would be for each Bible book to be on its own CD, I realize that some of smaller books would have to be combined onto a single CD, and I also realize my "suggestion" would mean the CDs weren't all of equal time length, that's just the way I would like it! I also think I would enjoy a variety of voices in the complete set, perhaps a female voice, even a youth's or child's voice (but of course with clear pronunciation and soothing tonal quality.

All in all, I think this is a great CD set. I would recommend it highly as a gift for anyone who loves the Bible. The carrying case is also great, I didn't expect that and it's beautiful and useful and and "serendipity."

5The Bible at my finger tips!Dec 24, 2006
By J Hutchison
Warning if you get this commemorative CD set and love the Word, you will have a hard time going back to those Bible Cassettes. You will find the complete Old Testament and New Testaments at your finger tips. You will love alexander Scourby and James Earl Jones as they read the word to you as you study, memory, or/and teach Gods Holy Word. This Commemative edition is the best gift I have received in a long time; I am indeed blessed for having this set and if you get this complete Audio Bible you will be blessed as well. God Bless you!

5Necessary Addition to Any LibraryJul 09, 2007
By Oldoak7
This clear, well-paced narration has quickly become an essential part of my Bible reading life. I have wanted a CD Bible for quite some time and I am glad that I came across this highly recommended version. This Bible along with the James Earl Jones narration of the New Testament are the best of any that I have reviewed thus far.
