Great GiftJul 25, 2010 Given to my uncle well recieved liked it. Thinking about purchjasing it for my self.
Nice but not as good as it should have beenJun 29, 2010 I bought this watch when my Timex gave up after less than 2 years; I've owned several Casio in the past and never had them break after such a short time.
The main feature I went for was the ani-digi function. It turns out, that's as much a curse as it is a blessing...but more on that later.
This watch does everything but sing and dance, and it's possible that's somewhere in the cryptic instruction book too. Multiple city times, stopwatch with all the usual bells and whistles, day/date display.
Here's the thing about the analog display, it does not set automatically! You have to set it by holding down a button (or two buttons if it's a long way off) while the hands twirl around. And you don't set the minute hand and hour hand separately...if you're off by 11 hours (daylight savings time?) you have to watch the minute hand go around 11 times. And if you miss...you can't go backwards...so it's another 11+ hours. This seems really, really silly to me. As advanced as everything else is on this watch, I think setting the analog hands to agree with the digital should be automated.
Pros:
Ani-digi display
Large face/dial
Very substantial feel/weight
Metal band
Cons:
Hard to adjust fit (but this is the case for any metal band)
Analog setting isn't automated
Automatic light feature turns off and must be reset after a certain amount of time.
So...I think it's a good watch, well worth what I paid for it, but it could have been so much better.
Good for the price, but not excellent.Jun 07, 2010 Pros:
- cheap for an analog/digital watch (around 30 bucks)
- nice stainless steel design that gives it a sophisticated look
- auto EL backlight (watch's backlight turns on when you move your wrist to see the time)
- neat digital seconds counter which is the circular part on the bottom of the dial
- lots of functions (5 alarms, different time zones, stopwatch, timer, etc..)
Cons:
- like what everyone else says, the face of the watch scratches fairly easy, so be warned, do not do anything stupid while wearing this watch...if you want tough, get a G-Shock
- can't see the day and month at the same time (i.e., cant see both "MON 6-4")
- watch has some plastic parts attached to it which makes it seem a little cheap
Overall:
- its a good watch but the face scratches easily, an easy way to get scratches out is to use baking soda + water, or applying toothpaste on the scratches. all in all, its cheap and it gets the job done
So far so goodApr 22, 2010 I bought this item for my husbands birthday and so far so good. He likes it, has been wearing it every day and has been working fine, no scratch problems, no delays, nothing of what I read in other reviews, and he has even found things that I even didn't know about the watch. I was a little worried about some of the reviews that I read, all the cons of the plastic material and everything, but so far that has been a good thing, it makes the watch very light. Overall I think this is a preety good purchase.
Good WatchApr 18, 2010 Good Watch overall. I like the digital and analog combination. Quality band. Con: the crystal seem to scratch easily.
