Superb Audio CD Creation ToolJun 12, 2008

Those who know this product know it well, and those who do not are missing out! I have yet to find software that enhances the process of creating a mixed CD like this program does it. Those with even a bit of digital audio skill will comfortably be able to utilize this snappy program. For me the best feature is the user interface; lining up and/or crossfading tracks is enjoyable with this software, even fun! A remnant of the great Sonic Foundry past, this now-Sony gem is an absolute must-have for anyone who likes to get creative with burning audio CDs. These are precision tools that will let you fine tune things like indexing, in-and-out points, and silence between tracks if desired. Let the beat-matching begin (or not), and take your time until the mix is just right--there's no rush with CD Architect.

CD Architect is a complex but very easy to use piece of software. If you are looking for software to create audio CDs that are more than just the standard "simple" CDs that you get with standard burning software, this is what you are looking for. It allows you to create multiple indexes per track, crossfades between tracks, adjustable silence between tracks, and much more.
However, with it lack of support for VST plugins, I wouldn't ever consider this as software for "mastering" an audio CD. The included DirectX plugins cover the basics, but you won't find the necessary tools to truly master a disc.

Nice burning program for a home project studioMar 18, 2009

I purchased this in a pinch from Amazon, as I could not find it in stock anywhere. Shipping was fast, I was suprised.
CD Architect is a cool burning program. You can insert plugins for a "pseudo" mastering chain if you'd like (I wouldn't use this option, but it's cool to be able to choose to do this), and the setup and learning curve are pretty quick. You can enter CD text, ISBN codes, UPS codes, etc. to burn "onto" the CD which is nice (and I wish more CD's had CD text burned to them. It's nice to see track names instead of numbers on my CD Player in my car).

I wanted to create a Red Book Master and wasn't sure of all the protocols. I downloaded this software trial version and it walked me through it very nicely. I had one question and contacted tech support by email and got a response quicker than I imagined I would. The response was spot on. I created the Red Book Master and bought the program. I am very pleased with the software and thrilled with the support. This is the one!
I also saved money by purchasing at Amazon.
