Old Version..Check out CS4 Design PremiumMay 18, 2007
By Mark Bailey UPDATE...YOU WANT THE CS4 VERSION. THIS IS THE PREVIOUS VERSION....I purchased CS3 Design Premium the first day it was available. It installed without any issues on my computer. I am using Windows Vista Home Premium. I could list all the wonderful features but you can go to Adobe's website for that. I will just say that I am very impressed with the quality of this product. As with any professional grade software there is a learning curve. If you are new to any of the programs in this suite, Adobe's "Classroom in a Book" series will get you off to a good start. And Amazon sells them at a great price. You can also get excellent training DVDs from Total Training. Also, an Intuos3 professional pen tablet makes it so easy to draw, edit, select, erase etc. P.S. I am still laughing about the added comments. I'm just certain that check from Adobe will be here soon.

Adobe outdoes themselves againSep 06, 2007
By T. Patnode Consistently impressed by the wealth of capabilities available in the Creative Suite product line. Releases are well packaged and the support behind the product, including a huge community of users, gives you more than you can imagine. Great investment.

Not debugged. I should have waited..May 10, 2007

Spent 4-6 hours doing installs, reinstalling, and making multiple phone calls to Adobe. Talking with techs and customer support. Product did not install properly under Vista. Installed finally, but not fully working today. My packaging has a "sticker" on top it (like an after-thought) regarding windows Vista compatability.
Product is still not working properly. Activation is a nightmare - Internal error 2739, starting regservers via command prompts, uninstall , turn off UAC, reinstall, activating the right application (s), and it still doesn't work right.
I am sorry I wasted my time and jeopardized my career on MS Vista and Adobe Creative Suite compatability issues in a work /production environment. I should have waited. I give the combo 5 stars under frustration and a waste of time/money.
Of course, your install may go smoother. I can only talk from personal experince with a sample of one machine.
excellent, expensive, professional & unavoidableJul 18, 2008
By J. Stephen Davis What can you do? Adobe owns the graphic design world, but they come through with absolutely brilliant products. I always wait a while before I upgrade to the next CS version so they can work all of the bugs out. The programs have a new elegantly designed interface with more friendly and intuitive features. A few things seem to be missing, for instance; I can't find the pre-set duotones in PhotoShop. A training DVD is included that I refer to on a regular basis, but it could be indexed better. I like the choice free stuff, too. Amazon had the best price.

Still haven't unlocked the full potential of this product. Bridge is a new addition for me that is a great asset with raw photos - adding metadata that can be applied to all photos in a folder or on your computer. Photoshop has some new cool features as well, the best being that it can now handle raw. Played around with illustrator and feels as good as the old version. Now if I could get as good with dreamweaver and flash... well back to studying.
